Welcome to Srilanka. You are greeted on arrival at Colombo Airport by our Representative at the Paging area of the Arrival Lobby. Later proceed to Singiriya, en-route visit Chillaw, Manvari temple and Muneswar temples, on arrival check into hotel, overnight stay at Sigirya.
Manavari is the first lingam installed and prayed by Lord Rama and till date this lingam is called as RamalingaShivan. Rameshwaram is the only other lingam in the world named after Lord Rama.
Muneswaram Lord Rama after his victorious battle left for Ayodhya in one of King Ravana’sVimanas. He felt he was being followed by BramahathiDosham as he killed King Ravana who was a Brahmin. He stopped the Vimana at this juncture because he felt at this place the “BramahathiDosham” was not following him. He descended from the Vimana and asked God Shiva for a remedy.God Shiva blessed Lord Rama and advised him to install and pray four lingams in Manavari,Thirukoneshwaram, Thiruketheeswaram and Rameshwaram in India, as the only remedy to get rid of the Dosham.Day 02 : Sigiriya - Trincomalee
After breakfast proceed to Trincomlaee to visit one of the Shakti peetams - Shankari Devi temple, Tirukoneshwaram temples and city tour of Trincomalee. Overnight stay at Sigiriya
Tirukoneshwaram Temple -The original Shankari Devi temple, said to be built by Ravana, was the first in the list of AshtaDasha (18) Shakti Pitas written down by AdiShankara, but its whole cliff was destroyed by Portuguese cannon balls. Only a pillar for commemoration is placed on that spot now. And it is believed that the original idol of the Goddess has been preserved and replaced, being venerated now in this nearby new Shankari Devi temple.
ThiruKoneswaramwas built by Rishi Agastya on the instructions of Lord Shiv who was impressed by the devotion of King Ravana. This place is unique in this respect because the Lord built a temple for his devotee as a reward for his devotion. Lord Rama is believed to have offered his prayers here in order to get rid of the malediction of killing Ravana who was a Brahmin, meaning Brahmahasthi Dosham.
Kanniya Hot Wells - One legend about Kanniya’s origin is that this is the place where King Ravan carried out the last rites for his mother. When he was unable to find water to duly perform the rites, his anger pierced his Trishulaintothe ground seven times. Water started gushing out immediately. The very hot water cooled down to the present degree when Ravana’s anger calmed down. The temperature of the water is different.Day 03 : Trincomalee - Kandy
Visit an Ayurveda and Herbal Garden - At different points of time during the war both Rama and Lakshmana were hit by powerful arrows and fell unconscious. To bring them back to life, Hanuman was instructed to fetch the lifesaving herbs from Himalaya. Hanuman went to the hill, lifted the whole hill and brought it, as he was not able to identify the lifesaving herbs alone. Parts from the hill fell on five places in Sri Lanka, these herbs are wonder treatment to date

After Breakfast – visit Sita Amman Temple - the only Sita temple in the world (ASHOKA VANAM/VATIKA). A myth has it that Sitawas held captive in the Ashoka forests by Ravana. Check out the river which marks the spot where Sita prayed daily for Rama to come and rescue her. Have you ever heard of the hanuman footprint in Sri Lanka On the rock face across the stream are footprints that are said to be of Lord Hanuman, when he came to save Sitha. one can visit Haggala Botanical gardens. later visit Divurumploa, Overnight stay at NuwaraEliya.
Divurumpola: This is the place where Seetha Devi underwent “Agni Pariksha” (test). It is a popular place of worship among locals in this area. Divurumpola means place of oath in Sinhala. After breakfast proceed to Colombo for city sightseeing Panchamuga Anjaneyar Temple Kalubowila. This is the first Anjaneyar Temple in Sri Lanka and also the only Panchamuga (five faced) Anjaneyar Temple in Sri Lanka. It is the only temple in the world to have a chariot for Ajanyear. The chariot festival is held annually end Dec/ beginning of January. Hanuman’s mother is Anjan. Hanuman is known as Anjan + AiyarAnjaneyar in South India (Hamuman in North India).
Kelaniya Buddhist Temple - After King Ravana’s death, Vibeeshana was coroneted as King of Lanka by Lakshmana at Kelaniya. There are murals enshrined outside the Buddhist temple depicting the crowning of Vibeeshana. The Kelani River is mentioned in the Valmiki Ramayana and Vibeeshana palace was said to be on the banks of this river. The reason Lakshmana crowned Vibeeshana, was Kelaniya because Rama had to return to India as he had to continue his self-exile of 14 years to honor the commitment to his father, King Dasarath of Ajodhya.
There exists as Buddhist temple and shrine for King Vibeeshana. Vibeeshana is considered one of the four guardian deities of Sri Lanka, overnight stay at Colombo.Day 08 : COLOMBO – AIRPORT

Online Booking: You can purchase our services from our sales outlets at Bangalore or Chennai, or you can book your tour/services / payment online through our website. Our website provides the facility making online booking of tours and services. After confirmation in written from us via Email or by in writing.
For the services contracted, a minimum deposit of 30% of the total cost is to be paid by you to Ravel Roads. The advance is required to hold the booking on confirmed basis.
The full balance payment is to be paid 10 days prior to the date of start of services. Any booking made within 10 working days of the date of services would be considered as a late booking and for same the full and final payment is required to be made at the time of booking itself.
Note: Apart from above, in case of bookings for special train journeys, hotel or resort bookings during the peak season (Christ-mas, New Year) full payment is required to be made at the time of booking itself.

In case of payment through credit card, the bank charges (3% extra) – would be levied over and above the total amount.
1. All payments should be free and clear of any withholding tax and deduction.
2. Bank charges, if any, for remittance (by remitting bank or by intermediary bank) would be strictly borne by payer.
Cancellation / No show / Early Departure Policy:
In case of cancellation of tour or travel services due to any reason, you are requested Please inform us in writing or by Email. Cancellation charges would be effective from the date we receive letter in writing and cancellation charges would be as follows:
Cancellation charges for any mode of transport ticket are applicable as per the rules of the concerned authority.
Air ticket issued on special fare are non-refundable and the guest shall bear cancellation charges.
1. If the reservation is cancelled 30 days prior to the date of arrival – 90% may be refunded (except the transaction charges).
2. If the reservation is cancelled 15 days prior to the date of arrival – 50% may be refunded (except the transaction charges) .
3. If the reservation is cancelled 07 days prior to the date of arrival – 25% may be refunded (except the transaction charges).
If the cancellation is any later than the above stated period or in case of ‘No Show’- No Refund.
No refund or any changes will be accepted at last minute for tour starting or after starting or middle of the tour.
Individual Tours (FIT Tours)
Cancellation policy of Individual tours is subject to changes. It depends upon the cancellation policy of the respective hotels and other service operators your tour is associated with. Different hotels and service operators have different cancellation policies which we are required to abide by. In the unfortunate event of cancellation of trip by guests, we would charge 10% of total booking amount as processing charges +the charges levied by the corresponding service providers.
The itinerary may have changed. The products and services displayed may have changed. The photos of meals/sightseeing are for reference and may differ from the actual meals/sights. Distance between places and temperatures are approximate and can change depending on travel, road conditions and climatic changes.
Itinerary may change at any time
we reserve the right to alter, amend, change or modify the tour package and itineraries before or during the tour. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you promptly of such changes as and when they are made.
Such changes may be necessitated due to factors beyond our control such as Force Majeure events, strikes, fairs, festivals, sport events, weather conditions, traffic problems, overbooking of hotels/flights, cancellation / re-routing of flights or railway, closure of / restricted entry at a place of sightseeing.
Generally, we try to avoid dates when big Fairs, Exhibitions and other events are held in certain cities as hotels are fully booked several years ahead.
If you have to travel on such dates, you may have to stay in alternate hotels or hotels in other cities.
We will make reasonable efforts to keep the overall package of services unchanged. However,
We shall not be liable to refund any amount or pay any compensation on account of any change in itinerary.
